My Tasks |
- Installed and upgraded SQL Servers/clients (6.5
and 7.0) on Windows NT Network environment.
- Managed 8 SQL Servers and nearly 30 databases with total of 20 GB of data.
- Setup integrated security with Windows NT and granted/revoked permissions.
- Setup SQL Mail, Agent and MSDTC. Monitored and optimized user accesses, disks spaces
and memory usage and database growths and did reconfiguration on SQL servers.
- Backed up and recovered databases. Replicated databases between servers. Allocated
spaces for databases and transaction logs, and analyzed error logs for troubleshooting.
- Forced and checked data integrity and transferred data in/out from servers with
bcp and MSDTC.
- Redesigned, administered and optimized backend database of www.dating.com that has over 2 million hits a day.
- Wrote administrative stored procedures. Helped and trained developers to optimize index and queries and normalize databases.
Documented databases.
- Designed OLTP databases for E-Commerce, Credit Card Payment, Customer Service and
Technical Support Intranet projects.
- Created OLAP Databases and cubes for Data Mart, Reporting and Data Warehousing projects.
Used Excel 2000 as OLAP client.
- Trained and educated end-users. Designed data models and diagrams and setup ODBC
links to back-end databases.
- Used Access 2000 and FrontPage 2000 to create dynamic WEB pages and reports for
INTRANET.
