My Tasks |
- Remodeled database structure and created the
relationships and published the new database diagram.
- Designed, altered and wrote tables, indexes, triggers, views, stored procedures,
constraints, defaults, rules, and user data types with T-SQL.
- Optimized and rewrote existing stored procedures, views, and triggers for better
database performance.
- Normalized the new central databases and denormalized them for performance and optimization.
- Helped and trained programmers to write efficient stored procedures and optimized
indexes and queries.
- Used SQL Server Profiler for timing stored procedures.
- Used query show plan for analyzing
and optimizing stored procedures.
- Transformed data from 86 databases
into 2 new centralized databases by creating
DTS packages and update queries.

Installed SQL Server 2000 and upgraded some of the existing databases
for test purposes.
- Setup target and master servers for clustering. Gave advices for new SQL server hardware platform.
- Setup OLAP Server for Datawarehousing and reporting projects.
- Trained junior SQL Server DBAs.
- Reengineered existing ASP codes for better performance. Tested XML queries and pages
for new development.
